A rebranding and an explanation

The lion's share of my game reviewing for the past year and a half has been over at Goonhammer.com, which is now reborn as TableTopBattles.com. They wanted their name to more accurately reflect the fact that they cover a lot more than just Warhammer. And apparently, "goon" has become a rude and unsavory word in the deep bowels of the internet (yeah, it was news to me too).

It's just as well, I like the new name better, especially since I don't really have any interest in Warhammer -- I mainly write reviews of board and roleplaying games for them, as well as painting and strategy guides for Star Wars: Shatterpoint.

Most recently I've reviewed Quartermaster General: South Front, Perilous Tales, and General Orders: Sengoku Jidai for them. You can see a complete list of my articles here.

I do plan to keep writing reviews here, primarily for older and more obscure games, but as is already obvious, my reviews here won't be nearly as frequent.

I also write about miniatures games and painting regularly in the Projects system at OnTableTop.com. You can see a list of my project blogs in the sidebar to your right, under "More with miniatures" (you may need to switch to "view web version" if you're reading on a phone). My most current projects as of this writing are Every Game is Miniatures Agnostic, Mythic Battles -- Now in Three Flavors, and Doctor Who and the Replacement Miniatures.

As always, thanks for reading!
